Sebastian Maniscalco was born on July 8, 1973, in Arlington Heights, Illinois, a Chicago suburb. His parents, Salvatore and Rose Maniscalco, were both Italian immigrants. Salvatore worked as a hairstylist, and Rose was a secretary. Sebastian’s family has roots in Naples, Campania, and Sicily.

Sebastian was an altar boy at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Mount Prospect, Illinois, when he was eight years old. He graduated from Rolling Meadows High School and then attended Northern Illinois University, where he graduated with a degree in communication studies.

After graduating from college, Sebastian moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in comedy. He worked as a waiter at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills while performing at open mics in bars and bowling alleys.
