The 40-year-old DeQuincey was the son of S.C. circuit court judge Clifton Newman and he was the brother of Supreme Court circuit court judge Jocelyn Newman. His mothers name is Patricia Newman. Also, Brian was the great nephew of the late Rev. DeQuincey Newman, he was a discoverer and civil rights icon in the Palmetto State.
In addition, he had a sibling who went by the name of Corwyn Newman, as well as two sisters who went by the names Jocelyn and Kellee Newman.
