The Nigerian singer was born Ugbekile David Osemeke, but professionally known as Boy Spyce, is an Afrobeat singer and songwriter.

He rose to fame after his freestyle video for Wizkid’s hit song “Essence” featuring Tems went viral on the internet. He was born on May 10th 2001, into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Ugbekile in Edo State, Nigeria. David was raised and spent his formative years in Jakande Estate Isolo.

As a young boy, Boy Spyce has always had an interest in music, often dishing out freestyles and sharing them on his social media.

This caught the attention of his audience, and he became resolute in his decision to pursue music full time. He attended Lagos State Model College Kankon, Badagry.
