His mother, Theresa Vina Gooch, was a model and homemaker. Ron’s early interest in singing led him to study voice in church and high school choirs.
He also picked up the guitar and played in bands during his teenage years. Initially drawn to football, he played from age eight to twenty, even spending two years at Florida State. However, his passion shifted from the game to writing and traveling. Later, a chance discovery of stand-up comedy with his friend Col. Bruce Hampton opened the door to theater, television, and film acting for Ron.
