After completing his elementary education at the Denver Zoar Mission School in Umzumbe, he went on to complete his secondary education at the Prince Ngamizizwe School.

In 1993, he received his diploma from Sister Joan’s High School, and in 1997, he received his degree from the University of Kwazulu Natal.
