Biography

Dublin was born in Kovno, Russian Empire (present-day Kaunas, Lithuania), on November 1, 1882. His parents, Max and Sarah (Rosensweig), were Jewish immigrants from Russia. Dublin’s family emigrated to the United States in 1886 and settled in New York City.

Dublin attended public schools in New York City and graduated from City College of New York in 1901 with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. He then went on to earn a Ph.D. in zoology from Columbia University in 1904.

Age and Birthday 

Dublin died in Winter Park, Florida, on March 7, 1969, at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife, son, and daughter.
