George was known as “Big George” in boxing and competed between 1967 and 1997. He has two world heavyweight titles and an Olympic gold medal. Foreman is best known as the inventor of the George Foreman Grill.

George Edward Foreman was born in Marshall, Texas on January 10, 1949. His mother and stepfather J.D. Foreman, whom his mother married after he was born, raised him. 

He had numerous run-ins with the law as a child and was expelled from school at the age of 15. He was frequently involved in street fights and gang wars.

Foreman has twelve children, five boys and seven girls. His five sons are George Jr., George III (“Monk”), George IV (“Big Wheel”), George V (“Red”), and George VI (“Little Joey”). According to Foreman’s website, “I named all my sons George Edward Foreman so they would always have something in common.”

His seven daughters are Natalia, Leola, Freeda, Michi, Georgetta, Isabella, and Courtney. Natalia and Leola are his children from his marriage to Mary Joan Martelly.
