Francesco Stephen Castelluccio (born May 3, 1934), best known as Frankie Valli, is an American musician who rose to prominence as the frontman of the Four Seasons in 1960. He is well-known for his exceptionally powerful lead falsetto voice.

Biography
Valli was born on May 3, 1934, in the First Ward of Newark, New Jersey, to an Italian family; he was the eldest of three sons.
Anthony Castelluccio, his father, was a barber and Lionel model train exhibit designer; Mary Rinaldi, his mother, was a homemaker and beer industry employee.
At the age of seven, he was motivated to pursue a singing career after his mother took him to see a young Frank Sinatra perform at the Paramount Theater in Manhattan, New York City.
One of his early idols was “Texas” Jean Valli, from whom he got his stage name. He worked as a barber until he could support himself through music.

Personal Life
Valli has had three marriages. While he was in his early twenties, he married Mary, who already had a two-year-old daughter. They had two daughters together before splitting up 13 years later in 1971.
In 1974, he married MaryAnn Hannagan, and the marriage lasted eight years. In 1984, he married Randy Clohessy, with whom he had three boys before divorcing in 2004.
Celia, his stepdaughter, was killed when she fell over a fire escape in 1980, and Francine, his youngest daughter from his marriage to Mary, died six months later from a drug overdose.

Career
He gave many early performances. In 1951, he joined the Variety Trio with Nickie, Tommy, and Nick Macioci. Valli continued to perform with Tommy DeVito and Nick Macioci (later Nick Massi) until the Variety Trio split in late 1952.
Frankie Valli led The Four Seasons, founded in 1960 by Tommy DeVito, Nick Massi, and Bob Gaudio. 1962’s “Sherry & 11 Others” was the group’s debut. ‘Sherry’ was the album’s first single, followed by ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry,’ ‘Walk Like a Man,’ ‘Candy Girl,’ and ‘Ain’t That a Shame. The record launched the band’s careers.
“American Bandstand” invited them to play “Big Girls Don’t Cry” in 1962. The following year, they produced “The 4 Seasons Greetings,” a Christmas CD with an original version of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” and other holiday tunes. The Wonder Who? was The Four Seasons’ 1965–1967 alias. Under this moniker, Valli’s falsetto was often muted. His 1974 solo smash “My Eyes Adored You” revived interest in The Four Seasons.
Music Career
The title track of The Four Seasons’ 1975 album “Who Loves You” reached the top three of the Billboard Hot 100. The album’s “December 1963 (Oh, What a Night)” charted for six months and became the group’s best-selling song. The group recorded few albums in the 1980s and beyond despite their travelling reputation.
In October 2007, Valli released Romancing in the ’60s, a cover album of his favorite 1960s songs, including “Sunny” and “Any Day Now,” which he had previously recorded. Heaven Above Me, Valli’s first solo album since 1980, was released in 1980. Valli debuted on Broadway in October 2012 with a week-long run at the Broadway Theatre. “Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons” performed in small- to medium-sized venues around the US from March 2016 to January 2017.
In October 2016, Valli released ‘Tis the Seasons, his first solo album in nine years. Valli performs Christmas favorites on the album.
Valli starred in Miami Vice, Full House, Witness to the Mob, The Sopranos, and And So It Goes. In the November 21, 2014 Hawaii Five-0 episode “Ka Hana Malu (Inside Job),” Valli played mystery lawyer Leonard Cassano. The 2015 AMC series The Making of the Mob: New York featured Valli as himself.
