Donal Francis Logue is a Canadian actor, producer, and writer. He is best known for his roles in the television series Vikings and Sons of Anarchy. He is also known for his versatility and skills, which have earned him a place as one of the industry’s most respected figures today.

Biography

Donal Francis Logue was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on February 27, 1966. He is a Canadian-American actor of Irish descent.

His parents, Michael J. Logue and Elizabeth Logue, were Irish Carmelite missionaries. Donal grew up in Canada with his three sisters, Karina, Deirdre, and Eileen.

Donal spent most of his early childhood in California, where he attended Central Union High School. He was elected President of the American Legion Boys Nation in his senior year, after winning the Impromptu Speaking competition.

After graduating from high school, Donal attended Harvard University, where he majored in Intellectual History. It was during his time at Harvard that he discovered his passion for the performing arts. He appeared in over 30 plays and spent a significant amount of time in the theater.

Personal Life

Donal Logue was previously married to Kasey Walker, but they are now divorced. The reason for their divorce is not publicly known. Donal has never been publicly linked to another woman since the divorce.

Donal and Kasey had two sons together, Arlo and Finn. Arlo is transgender and now goes by the name Jade.

Career

After graduating from Harvard, Donal joined the Cornerstone Theater Company in New York City to pursue his acting career. His first notable film role was in Sneakers (1992), where he played Dr. Gunter Janek. He then appeared in Gettysburg (1993) and the Northern Exposure episode “Baby Blues” (1994).

In 2000, Donal had a breakout year with roles in The Patriot, Blade, and The Groomsmen. He continued to work steadily in film and television, appearing in Just Like Heaven (2004), NBC’s The Dennis (2005), Ghost Rider (2007), Max Payne (2008), Zodiac (2007), and Life (2007).

In 2010, Donal starred in the Jack Kerouac documentary One Fast Move or I’m Gone: Kerouac’s Big Sur. He then had a recurring role as Lieutenant Declan Murphy on the NBC crime drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2011-2015).
