Amaechi Muonagor was a popular Nigerian Nollywood veteran actor who passed away on Sunday, 24th of March 2024 after suffering from kidney failure.

According to sources, actor Amaechi was said to have been on Dialysis before his sudden passing away at 62.

During his active years in the Nigeria Nollywood, Amaechi Muonagor was nominated for the ‘2017 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards for Best actor.

His debut was in 1998 when he joined the movie industry.  He has since starred in several movies and played different roles.

Amaechi Muonagor Biography and Early Life 

Actor Amaechi Muonagor was born on August 20th, 1962 and he unfortunately passed away on the 24th of March, 2024 at the age of 62.

Late Mr Muonagor was  born and raised  in Obosi, a village in Idemili North, Anambra State.

According to sources, Amaechi Muonagor attended primary and secondary school at his village in Anambra state. He attended St. Mary’s Primary School, Obosi and Oraifite Grammar School.

Soon after his secondary education, Amaechi furthered his university education at The University of Nigeria Nsukka where he studied Economics.

When did Amaechi Muonagor’s Career Begin?

According to sources, after Amaechi rounded up his youth service program in 1989, he worked for thr News Agency of Nigeria better known as (NAN). It wasn’t long before he left the Agency in pursuit of a career in the Nollywood industry.

His debut was in the movie Taboo where he starred as Akunatakasi. Ever since then, he has acted in several movies.

Amaechi Muonagor has worked hand in hand with actors like Nkem Owoh, John Okafor, Patience Ozokwor, Sam Loco Efe and more.

According to reports, Amaechi was diagnosed with Diabetes in 2016 and the sickness cause him to lose so much weight due to lack of proper treatment. After several years of being sick, he passed away on the 24th of March, 2024.

Who is Amaechi Muonagor’s Wife?

Nollywood veteran Amaechi was married to Hope Chikodi Muonagor. They have four children together. Hope Chikodi was his childhood sweetheart whom he married during his university days.
